Weather washes out USMTS show

Heavy rain Tuesday night and a forecast for more of the same Wednesday evening made for miserable muddy conditions at the Southern Iowa Speedway, forcing event organizers to cancel Wednesday night’s show at the “Mahaska County Monster.” Officials will be making a decision soon, and an announcement will be forthcoming, concerning the possibility of an alternate date to stage the Annual Musco Lighting Southern Iowa Challenge featuring the USMTS Modifieds. Friday, October 8

Two big days to close the curtain on the 2010 season ... featuring Musco USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.

Friday: Pits open at 4:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hot laps begin at 6:30 and racing starts at 7:00. Tickets are $12 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12 and children under 6 always get in for FREE. Pit passes are $25.

Saturday: Pits open at 2:00, grandstands open at 3:00, hot laps begin at 5:00 and racing starts at 5:30. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and children under 6 always get in for FREE. Pit passes are $25.
